Editorial Standards
Truth Computing Media labels every piece of content by category so readers always know what they are reading. These are the four categories we use, and how they differ.
Reporting
Original, on-the-ground journalism grounded in primary evidence — field observation, on-record interviews, and documented sources. Reporting reflects our newsroom's independent findings, not the views of any outside party.
Analysis
Fact-based interpretation of events or data by our editorial team, clearly labeled as Analysis. Analysis draws conclusions from evidence but is distinct from straight Reporting, and is never commissioned or paid for by an outside party.
Commentary
Opinion or perspective pieces, clearly labeled as Commentary. Commentary reflects the views of its author and is never presented as, or mixed with, Reporting.
Sponsored / Partner Content
Content produced in partnership with, or paid for by, an outside organization. Sponsored and Partner content is always visibly labeled as such at the top of the piece, is produced separately from our independent reporting, and never implies an endorsement by our reporters.
Sourcing & Verification
We prioritize firsthand footage, on-record interviews, and documented primary sources. Where a claim cannot be independently verified, we say so explicitly rather than presenting it as fact. We do not publish fabricated statistics, endorsements, testimonials, or partnerships, and we do not imply institutional endorsement by any university or organization our staff may be affiliated with.
