Mark Yesubalen Torre is a co-founder of Truth Computing Media, where he leads field reporting and production. A UCLA graduate, Mark has spent years reporting from the ground in Southern California: covering immigration enforcement and protest movements, documenting the Pacific Palisades fire and the Clay Fire in Jurupa Valley as they unfolded, and following the slower-moving story of urban development across the Inland Empire and beyond. His work sits at the intersection of documentary filmmaking and visual journalism — shooting, producing, and distributing stories built on primary footage and firsthand observation rather than secondhand accounts. Before co-founding Truth Computing Media, Mark built an audience through independent visual journalism and social distribution, developing a practice of getting to the scene, documenting what is actually there, and letting audiences see it for themselves.

Matthew Torre

Co-founder, Technology & Editorial Systems

Matthew Torre is a co-founder of Truth Computing Media, where he leads technology and editorial systems: the research tooling, data pipelines, and publishing infrastructure that support the newsroom's reporting. A Stanford Computer Science graduate, Matthew is also the co-founder, CEO, and CTO of Truth Computing, an applied-AI company — a separate organization from Truth Computing Media, though the two share an origin and a founding team. His work on the Media side focuses on the technical and research backbone of independent journalism: verifying sourcing and evidence, building the systems editors use to manage stories, and applying data and research methods to explainer and investigative work. He also brings prior experience in independent media production. Matthew's role is deliberately distinct from Mark's: where Mark reports from the field, Matthew builds the systems that make that reporting reliable, verifiable, and repeatable.
